Tyres
Hi all

A question if I may on tyres.

Where do you all get your trailer tyres from? I contacted the local tyre supplier and they want £47 + vat for each - they are only 145.10.

He also asked 4 or 8 ply? I've no idea what is on the trailer currently, and won't be back there until Saturday, as it's only a 4.5 Rimini (40 on the back) does it really need the 8?

Not sure, never weighed it. Can't be too much, I push and pull it around on me own.

That's not much help.

You'll need to take a look at the manufacturer's plate on the chassis to find the gross weight. Also check the plate on the axle, as it may have a different rating.

I'lll be back at the boat on Saturday - I'll check out any plates on it then.

It'll probably be cheaper to buy a complete wheel & tyre.

the 8 ply are better and safer if you are doing a lot of distance or motorway towing and over launching over rough ground ,,the 145 x 10 were also used the the old mini car so you may get some cheaper from a mini scrapyard dealer perhaps ,
