Trailer For 5.4m Searider?

I need to get hold of a good road trailer for an Avon 5.4 Searider in the fairly near future!

Needs to be in vgc, full rollers, braked etc, we dont mind buying a new one, has anybody got any preferences? or know somebody with one sitting on a shelf somewhere.

pm if you can help

Chris

I will also probably have to get something similar for my 5.4 sometime. At the moment it's just the hull and tubes, sitting on a single axle unbraked trailer, with only one bow roller, and two supports towards the stern.

I'm of the opinion that it is definitely not a long distance trailer with the rib in ANY condition (kitted out or otherwise), given how small the trailer is, and the tiny wheels, and my Dad thinks that if I put the engine onto the rib it will cause too much stress on the hull, given that the rib is only supported in 3 places.

What ever you get, DON't get anything that has ALKO hubs!

I'm in a position to get hold of some cheap trailers (Trade).

I have enquired for the price of one trailer for a 5.4 on behalf of CND. CND wants brakes, bearing saver hubs and a spare wheel. If you want the same PM me and I'll see what I can do.

The trailers are from a very good mainstream manufacturer.

Hi,
Having just gouged a furrow down the inside lane of the M25 after a side support worked loose, put the trailler back on the rollers in the car park of a beefeater inn, move the now shorter side chock back up... I am gonna do the new trailler thing.

Still juggling with build or buy. I would be interested to know what price you can do for a 5.4 searider. Unbraked basic roller coastie trailler.

Tim'mers.
