Can you find someone to weld a bar on for you. A 5 minute job & much stronger than bolting on. I'd have a word with a few garages as a start - £20 and a bit of old 'scrap' tube and hey presto !

I think that one with two winches is for a couple of jetski's hence the need for two separate ones.

Might be wrong though!

The easiest way is to buy a new post. http://www.trailertek.com/cgi-bin/sh...35#a1_21WIN135

Hi, Its easy to make your own. 1"x16" long tube, a couple of handle bar grips and a standard trailer U bolt. The strenght is fine!!.

Dont get into welding your galv dipped trailer coz it will rust around any welds unless treated.

And give off some really nasty fumes while you do it.

Snipe are now owned by Mersea Trailers in Colchester, Essex. Might be worth giving them a call - they did me a short drawbar version of an old Snipe design and using a very old design of winch post so it would all go in the garage..... I dealt with someone called Sarah.

They also sold me a "bolt on" mast step for my dinghy trailer, but that was when Snipe were independant and still in Brum.

I should also add the usual disclaimer that I'm nothing more than a happy customer......
