quieter when greased
how much nose weight do you have. Grease does deaden any rattles but so does a decent amount of nose weight. Never noticed it quietening anything else.

Ah, we tow a Feva dinghy with a fairly low nose weight and a 5.5m rib with obviously a lot more nose weight. I haven't checked these accurately and have to say I have a separate problem with the rib, as the ride when towing it is not comfortable! I can't believe it's too heavy, with a Yam100 on the back and I can lift the nose, so my guess is it is around 70kg.
