Have gone back to the 'dark side'.....

One for the LR buffs please

Have been looking for a second 4x4 tow vehicle /workhorse and have just done a great deal on a Turbo diesel G reg 90 Truckcab with 32K miles on it one owner vehicle near me.....local hobby farmer, no real work. Needs a damn good T cut (faded red) and some Road Tax, but otherwise v clean. Seats are as new as has had seat covers on from new and has an ali Ifor Williams top.....

Question is: What is the max towing cap? Have found a few differing answers....anyone know the correct one please?

Won't be anywhere near capacity with the boats, but would be nice to know...

Thx

Yep, that's correct.

Though if you put three and a half tons on the back of a TD, expect to be overtaken by snails

In the interests of Quotability, it would have been preferable that you had simply said "willk's right"

My first LR experience was in a 90 TD. Lot's of fun and they make my 300TDi feel like a Ferrari

I know...and I think it's a 19J But at least its one of the later /last ones when apparently they had taken measures to overcome some of the reliability /failure issues....

Was a series 2a diesel.....'tricked up' with fairey OD and freewheeling hubs for me....spent endless hours in pursuit of 60 mph in rural West Wales....harder than it sounds!

Borrow a trade insurance policy and tell them that your trade. You'll save a fortunne on the indemnity.
