filling your fuel tank

How do you fill your under deck fuel tank to the max without over filling it.

Do any of you use a fuel whistle on the vent hose if so how well does it work?

No real way other than to listen for a change in the "gurgle" as you get towards the top.

If you have accurate fuel measurement then you will know how much fuel its going to take so its a bit easier then.

I once fitted a valve on the breather tube that was supposed to stop the fuel spewing out of the breather.

Waste of time IMO.

Get a good fuel computer set up like the lowrance or Faria ones and monitor to a fraction of a liter how much fuel you have used.

Mmmm that smell of petrol from overfill just evokes happy thoughts of boating. I'd miss it if I found a solution!!!

I listen, can always hear when it starts to come back up the pipe, also helps know how much I used.
