Have an engine showing the multi-function engine warning. Is there an OBD device to read the codes before making a service centre rather happy?

There is adaptor cables to the car-type connector available. Anyone had any success using these with a generic code reader?

Dedicated readers are also available but they are pricey.

Thanks, that makes sense. It's serviced every year but I doubt the reminder was reset.
