worth it or not?

I've been offered a Icom IC-M503 for 80, fully working except the buttons on the handheld microphone dont work - but do on the unit itself, it also doesnt have the bracket so i'd have to buy or mount flush in the console - any opinions on these units?
should I go for it - I have no VHF at present

I have a bracket for a M601 that you can have if it will fit.

thanks guys, apparently the transmit button works fine. It's the channel change button which doesn't work. You have to change channel with the unit knob. The unit was sent back to Icom who fitted a brand new mike, charged 100. and it still came back faulty. -

hmm ,
