Just be aware that if you buy second hand, you will need to clear the existing MMSI number which could be expensive, factor this into any price you pay.

Cheap Chinese AIS Transponder ordering

Some of these have also appeared on fleabay in the last few months, but can see any just now... HP-33 AIS | eBay (Gives an idea of prices)
