Standard Horizon chartplotters

The works boat presently has a Simrad CR40 and I'd like to augment it with a Standard Horizon Chartploter which kinda fits well with the Standard Radio I'm buying. Question is did I see some comments on this forum that the chertplotters weren't too waterproof/reliable has anybody had any problems with them at all.

Got through 4 in one season
If you do get one whack some gaffir tape around it not pretty but effective.
Has not failed me yet and very simple to use with good graphics .

My 300 has had bucket loads chucked over it on 3hr Scilly trips and is holding up well enough.

Mine gets a good wash with a jetwash after every use. Not close up but it gets a good flush. Still works fine.
