Mercury 15hp 1998 - how to tilt???

Cheers for the help chaps, you all seem to be right!

Iím missing the following items:
- Trim rod assembly.
- Nut & Bolt for the tilt lock lever to stabilise it.

All ordered after sussing the part numbers from a retro manual, which was no mean feat!

It also looks to disengage a flappy bit from the non existent trim rod only in FWD gear as Tim suggested.

Will await the postman, get spannering and revert.

Nearly there, and I thought this was supposed to be a relaxing hobby...

It was jammed shut!
Slackened off the tilt tube nuts, removed troll bracket, applied the worlds surplus of wd40 & got cracking with the crow bar.
Not so tough now are you...

Keep that 6ft bar handy... you might need to adjust the idle mixture next!
