Hows about a variation on what I did to prevent drilling holes below the waterline on my transom when I fitted the sounder?

Small blocks of wood Sika-ed where you want the screw cable ties to go. Then you are only needing to manoever a small lump, so making it muuuuch easier to get into position.

I've sussed it now-Araldite seems to bond them in quite well once everything's cleaned up with Xylene and roughed up.
I've brought the Araldite onto the front of the pad as well so they're semi potted.

It may take GRP off now before they fall off
