I've got a transom mount Garmin transducer sikaflexed into the inside hull on the 5.4 Searider. Works fine.

Did you need to split the transducer body at all or just epoxy it as it was?

Back to MY thread...... Can any trade suppliers here supply a P319 for a good price?

Also, if anyone needs one I have a brand new in the box Lowrance 106-72 skimmer type transducer......50 about right??
Is that a "Thread-jack" now?
We're going to need flame throwers from under our 'puters to fight this evil.

No just epoxy it straight in, the lowrance skimmer instructions actually have a "how to" Section as its a standard way to mount them if they are not going to be transom mounted.

Then I'll do it tomorrow. Cheers, just what was needed. I think the instructions went the way of the receipt and the parking ticket!

Is there any sense in mounting it in the bow? Seems to make sense.

You need a smooth uninterrupted flow of water over the portion of the hull where the txr is fitted, not likely to get that at the bow
