I have a 276 and love it - everything a big plotter can do , but on batteries for 8 hours ! This place seems to be showing as in stock , but worth a call I reckon.

No idea why they are so hard to get hold of - they are essentially the same as the portable Aviation units - just differing software .

Maybe a call to Garmin themselves would pay off - at least they can see if they are still making them etc, or see if they can point you to a decent dealer who woudl get hold of one for you ?

The 276c has been discontinued, only ones left are 'stock' items in shops.

I will never sell my 276c... it's the best portable GPS i've ever used. So if you're looking for one, it's definately not going to be 'cheap' - there's no reason why anyone would want to sell theirs, nevermind cheap!

Muppets - maybe they didn't sell enough, but it cant have cost them much to keep it going, they still use all the same bits in the 296 & 495 & 496 !

Have you tried Ebay in the US ? Seems to be the only place to get one - but not exaclty cheap ( to me anyway) .

Had some time at work today so seems to be a good number out there.
