Correct Cod.

I said duty and Vat for $600 worth is about £60-£65 (includes post office clerance charges).

I think that you may find that RAY MARINE are more competitively priced in the US too (for some unknown reason )

And there 100s more. Shipment to the UK by USPS about $50-$80 (depending on the state) and the tax about £60-£100 for values between $600-$1,000
What about the nightmare of what to do when you turn it on and nothing happens.

These days electronic equipment suffers from far to many DOA's in my opinion to be risking buying from accross the water.
Th money you save soon gets eaten up when you have to return it to the supplier in a different country.

Cactus seem to want to beat any other quote at the moment so shop around get the best price then put it to Cactus and get it even cheaper

I like the look of the raymarine but i already have the Cmaps for garmin which i got the start of the year seams a shame not to use and the cost of kitting this rib out is running away with me.
I just missed the old model Garmin the 2010 a exdemo but with a full warrenty for £795.00 inc iam just a bit sick as its the unit but with out the radar.
Whos going to the Southampton Boat show ?

Forgive my ignorance but I thought Garmin used their own Bluechart software - NOT C - Map!!!

I thought the same, unless the 3010 is backwards compatible with older charts? I would check with Garmin... Tel: (01794) 519944
