Charger for HX260E

Quick question for anybody with a Standard Horizon HX260E - could you look at the 240V mains charger supplied and find out what DC voltage it puts out please?

The other half has one for work and has lost the charger but the radio doesn't say what the input voltage is (I'm not sure if it is battery voltage or 12 volts in) and I have a Yaesu charger at home for my 2m handheld which might work but need to be sure! The HX270 I have uses a drop in charger which is no good - the HX260 one plugs into the radio. Google has failed me!

the 270 & 750 share the same power pack - output 12v 200ma ( from reading the back of it right now, central pin + )

Saw that as well. I think that's the battery voltage rating. The charger should be a tad higher.

Bah - the 260 has a centre pin -ve input and the pin is a different size to the 270 charger too so neither the charger for my HX270 (12v 200ma centre + once you unplug it from the drop-in part) or the Yaesu ham set (12V 500ma centre +) are any good.

Nothing like common parts across the range is there

or anyone else who can help.

I have a standard horizon hx260e, but no manual and no charger.

If anyone has either for sale, or knows where they are obtainable I would welcome help.
My husband put ours away safe, but he died last year and I cannot find them. I suspect that they may have been left on the boat which I have had to sell.

We eventually found ours (this is quite an old thread) and so I can confirm the correct 240V charger for the HX260 is part no 954915 output 9.40v dc 80ma. I should think if you give the p/no to a SH dealer they would get you one.

You can download the manual from the SH website here: http://www.standardhorizon.com/?cmd=...s&DivisionID=3

or perhaps try Ebay if you need a hard copy?
