Airmar P79 NMEA 2000 Sounder transducer

Hi,

Has anyone fitted one of these...

Looking to combine one with a Lowrance HDS8. Are they as good as normal (non NMEA) sounder?

Chris

I fitted a P79 to my Garmin. I think the nmea version will only give you depth, not sonar. Assuming that is what you want then I can't see it being any worse than a non-NEMA version.
