a good vhf fixed radio

Hi all. im looking for a good vhf fixed radio can anyone give me any info on which one to go for around £200 cheers

IMHO you won't go wrong with ICOM or Standard Horizon, both come within your price range.

I have used the 500 series Icom for some years with no problems but in the past had a 400 series as well and thought it good value.

Icom m411 or the 401 if you don't want the dsc option.

Simrad, Icom or SH all great radios, all up to my spec (and that's pretty high), look around you'll find just like everything there is a better deal somewhere else than the first place you looked

I've owned 7 coms they have all failed! I've owned I've owne 4 SH and they haven't. I always recomend SH's to my emplyers and so far it's been a good recomendation. I think the 1500 is a cracking unit and well within your budget.

There a member of this forum who used to be the sales manager for Icom and Then SH, why don't you PM himand ask his Opinion. His name is Jon Brooksbut I wouldn't mention my name
