Yammie 70 2str varying reverse engage

Ello all,

my symptoms are:

She will some at points have to be revv'd Quite high before she engages in reverse, but then on the next attempt, she drops straight in.......

It keeps doing this.

Answers on a post card and the winning submission wins a prize......

Sounds like either:

1. Gearchange cable needs adjusting

or

2. Clutch dog is worn

Gears

DISCONNECT the gear cable on the engine and try and put it into gear this way . see if it engages easy by doing it with your hand . you may have alot of play in that cable . anyway do that first and then we go from there . Cheers Barry
