Yamaha 2b no tell tale

Little Yamaha 2 stroke has stopped pumping water from the leg tell tail. When running there is air pumping from there strongly.

I’ve took the leg off and cleaned around the impeller there was a load of crud

The water hook up in the leg I can reach to blow up it should I be able to? Or will it block until a thermostat opens?

If it’s salt I’ve cobbled together this Click image for larger version

To hopefully get water to any salt deposit

Is this a vain hope and I need to accept I need to strip it down?

On the plus side starts first pull [emoji106]

If it’s pumping air, it sounds like an inlet problem. Either blocked or an air leak.

Comes off to reveal the waterways and where the water pipe feed connects to the powehead. All full of salt and crud. Cleaned the lot off and rebuilt now pumping like a good un. Took longer to clean than it took to take apart and rebuild [emoji106]
