Yam 703 buzzer

Hi all i just bought a 2002 75 yammy and a brand spanking new 703 control box ,
now my problem is soon as i turn the key it starts buzzing thats without starting the engine
can anyone shed some light on what im doing wrong or overlooked ? cheers

i have muffs on it running water thru it and it keeps buzzing i havent had the boat down to the water yet tho ,it`s starts to buzz soon as i turn the key to first position and carrys on buzzing while the engine is running

It could be low oil level or the overheat sensor may be dodgy. It cold even be that the alarm wire is diconnected and earthing out somewhere. Do you have the yamaha LCD dash?

Is the loom on your 703 box compatible with all Yams?

Back in the '90s, some Soozooks used the same plug connector with different pin/cable positions.

sused it guys cheers i needed to submerge the whole gearbox in water ,wheelebins for the win , there must be a senser in the gearbox or something .

Nah, it wasn't deep enough to cover the water inlets, so the impeller was pumping air.
