Aint no water coming out the tell tail just had a new impeller fitted? any advice

First I'd check the telltale for a blockage, then be on the phone to whoever replaced the impeller (assuming you paid a boatyard to do it). If not i'd drop the gearbox off, only a 10min job, and check the waterpipes line up etc.

How long have you had the engine running for? if it hasn't warmed up then the thermostat may not be opening? But I'm not too familiar with your honda, this may not effect the tell tale. Are you running in the water or on muffs?

on and off for about 5 mins with the muffs

We had something similar with a 30 honda,the water pipe inside the leg was misaligned when they put the 'box back on. Also sometimes on these the tell tale jet blocks up,pull the hose off inside the cover and see if it pumps out of the hose.
Our 40 hondas pump water from cold as do most engines other than very small ones (like 2.3 suzukis)
Also a couple of times we've had a honda that wouldn't pump from muffs but picked up straight away when run in a big bucket. (and then pumped from muffs ok the next time??)

chris if it was pumping ok on the old impellor then I doubt it is a major issue - but if the forgot to put it in / put it in wrong / didn't reassemble correctly so that no water is circulating then you have the ingredients for getting a major issue very quickly.

I'd have thought it was normal to run it up afterwards to check all was OK. In which case I guess your idea of cold weather might be right - could the water have frozen in the tell tale tube/outlet? I'm assuming you are storing it outside. Can you poke a piece of strimmer wire (or something similar) up the outlet to check for a blockage?

If you are running it on muffs & there is water pouring out from the inside of the propellor, it's pumping!

What I should also have mentioned is that it's almost impossible to tell because of the water being forced out from the muffs spraying everywhere.......
