Suzuki DT200 running cost??

Hi.
I have a Suzuki DT200 2 stroke that will be used to power my Arctic 22 (until I upgrade to a newer engine)

Anyone know is this going to crucify me on fuel!?

Have a look here.

Suzuki DF 25 - 60 - 90 - 115 - 140 - 175 - 225 - 250 - 300 hp Outboard Fuel Consumption Liters per hour | Portable 2.5 - 4 - 6 - 9.9 - 15 hp

No DT200 but the DF175 is showing nearly 14 gph at WOT and just under 7gph at 75%.

As far as I know dt is 2 stroke and df is 4 stroke so the 2 stroke will be more thirsty

RIBase
20GPH (US) ish at WOT, so about 80 litres/hour. Maybe a bit more.

So many variables.
Prop size and pitch.
Boat load and weight distribution.
Weather conditions.
Speed or rpm.

If the engine reaches its max rpm with the intended load then the prop is correct and the engine will be more effiant through the entire rpm range. If the engine can cruise at around 3500-4000rpm at a speed you are happy with then fuel consumption is going to be better.

Is not just the fuel consumption you have to consider on an old two stroke like that but the cost of spares that must be getting harder to come across these days.
