SR4/ Honda 50

Anybody like to have a stab at which prop pitch would suit this thing? It's currently fitted with a 11.25" x 13"P. I'm guessing that's gonna be a bit light on pitch. 15-16 perhaps? Cheers.

Nope, but 13" does sound a little underpropped.

Get a nice flat calm day, watch the revcounter and suck it and see.

I've got a Honda 45 on mine which is near enough. Will check the prop size when I'm next near it

Thanks.

What sort of top speed are you acheiving with the 45?

I'm not chasing top-end, it'll just give me some idea of where we're at with our's when I eventually get it in the water.

Getting the A frame fabricated is the main hold-up.

No idea on speed; haven't checked it with the GPS yet. Feels fast though!

We have a Honda 50 on the back of a XS 5m and it has a 13" prop (which I believe is the standard prop). We get Max revs, and it'll plane with 7 adults on board.
