Shower Units

Am looking for a shower unit for a Bravo 3.

Have found sites/suppliers in the US but none in UK
There are many posts talking about showers but does anyone know where you can get them in the UK.

If so please let me know.

Contacted Dave, he is out of stock at present, but will get one when back in stock.

He also didnt think is was 100% needed on the Bravo 3X & the 240Hp but it wont do any harm, to me the cooler they run the longer they will last (hopefully)

Hi folks

Dave Crawford is out of stock and even though he though he would be getting some in by now is saying it may be months before any arrive.

As my RIB is out of the water at present does anyone know of any other sources for drive showers.

GOTO b & q get yourself the fittings, and make it up yourself - cost you about 15 quid.
Otherwise - do not get onto the plain, so to keep it all cool -----or stop in and get a Volvo fitted.

He's not kidding. Anyone know a chap called Graham Barker, or Geezer. He had a fantastic BWM rib called 'Badger's Mist', manufactured the shower unit over the outdrive himself. Cost him £10.00 and worked a treat.

Yes I think your right.

Its B&Q this weekend, cant be any harder then plumbing, except in stainless.

Even if it takes me a few goes to get the bends & shape right it will still be much cheaper.

B&Q dont do stanless pipe, I would buy flexable plastic stuff, the type you use in domestic plumbing 3/4 should do the job, and get the type that uses plastic fittings too. Over here its gray in colour. add a couple of pipe clips and SS screws for fitting, and you should be away......

PS Irish and English Plumbing sizes and fittings are not the same!

PPS I have never seen a 'real shower unit' but I have seen homemade ones, and pics on the web.

Keith, it is indeed a very simple cooling device. An outdrive gets very hot, by fitting a simple pick-up attached to a hose over the leg, the sea-water cools it down.

I have tried the US, not the link you gave, which looks good, but Driveshowers.com.

The problem has always been shipping they want as much to ship as the drive shower costs, or in some cases more.

I have e-mailed the company you gave and will see what they come up with.

In the mean time I think I will still look into a DIY job.

I saw that Andy Micklewright had fitted one to his RIB Awesome over the winter. It was a single bit of aluminum tube that started with one end facing forward under the stern and the other end pointing down at the top of the drive. He said it took him 10 minutes to do!
