Yeah, I hear it also, but it's wrong to write All 'professionals' off as incompetent bodgers. Although, I've also come across a couple in the marine industry.

I know, you just need to know who you are dealing with. Some companies (I'm thinking of the likes of Turner Engineering doing Land Rover engines) turn out stuff which is to a better standard than the factory makes. Shame they don't do boat engines (well I think they do the VM diesel out of the Range Rover but that's as far as it goes)

You could always charter them your RIB whilst they are one boat down for 4 months... now with presumably little competition you can set your own prices - so you could get yourself a new bigger/better rib...
