What about the Cummins MerCruiser Quantum series? Haven't used one myself, but the QSDs look interesting.

The V6 engined version was there the first day of Ribex. The V8 was supposed to be there today (Saturday). Looked good, but didn't quite get round to asking the price

Yes I bet it will be on the eye watering side! Has anyone heard anything about Yellowfin? I heard a rumour that they were bought out by a bigger concern (possibly VW) but I've not heard any more about them since.

The guy who was involved in the Yellowfin is now the guy involved in the Caudwell. Not heard much about the Yellowfin although they still have website.

Thanks for that Chris, It would be a shame for the Yellowfin concept to just disappear.

you should have a look at that caudwell boat, pretty impressive engine installation, with yamaha going at the end of the year there won't be many complete packages on the market, the bigger volvo package hasn't got a good track record for rib installations (my experience and opinion)

Some company may come along and buy the rights to manufacture and sell the above engines.

So all my not be lost in the end just called another name.
Made another place. and may even be cheaper ..
I guess its going to be one of those wait and see things.

it's a difficult one as toyota who make the blocks are stopping production of the 6 cylinder, not sure what yanmar are going to do as that is the same block, you never know though
