New Yamaha F175 vs F150?
Does anyone have any thoughts on the new Yamaha F175 vs F150?
I'm thinking about going with a proper sized RIB for next season. My SIB might have worked okay for Michigan, but for South Carolina, I've began to learn what "operator fatigue" is in the Atlantic swells.
F175 = Shares the F200 design...2.8L I4 , 96mm x 96.2mm bore x stroke, 10.3:1 compression
F150 = Shares the F115 design...2.7L I4 , 94mm x 96.2mm bore x stroke , 9.0:1 compression
Anyone have any firsthand experience yet? F150 calls for 87 octane, F175 calls for 87 octane min , 89 octane recommended. Most of the ethanol free that I purchase is 91 octane anyways.
