New Honda BF40/50

There's a review in this month's RIB International magazine in Sweden. Powers a Zodiac
9-Man Pro. BF50 certainly looks the business, and with increased fuel efficiency will be a big seller I'm sure. No idea of prices - but I suspect in £5,000 range which ain't cheap!

I had considered getting a Honda BF40 or 50 but decided against it when a friend told be his boat is a fair bit slower (but quieter) since changing from a 2stroke Yamaha 40 to a Honda BF40 (I've now got his old Yamaha 40 ).

It would be nice if BRP could do something about the ridiculous weight of their ETEC 40/50/60 hp engines (currently about 240 lbs) to be a little more competitive with the Honda BF 40/50 or the Tohatsu TLDI 40/50. I would also consider TLDI if it did not require a battery to run it.

How much!!!

That's ridiculous. At that price - you could buy a 3-4 year old engine and still have a enough money for a cruise in the Caribbean.
