Mercury 25 / Mercosil block

I good friend of mine has to bore out his Merc block to 0,030 and the two workshops in Iceland are not willing to do it as they say they donīt have the special silicon to coat after they have bore the block.

Anyone that can recommend workshop in UK to do the job ?

Bogi

I take it Mercosil is the same as Nikasil bore lining used in BMW and Jaguar engines?
If it is a search on google will bring up some places.

You do not state which model of 25 Merc you have, but if factory oversize pistons are available for your model the block is reboreable and therefore will not have a Nikisil coating.
As Tubodiesel said FJ Payne are good.
