They are installing one from Yamaha apparently... I don't have salt in my water, so aluminum holds up pretty well... And it's being installed where it's out of harm's way...

Now if they just hold to there word about having it ready tomorrow I'll be all set!

I'm having a hunt around for an appropriate fuel filter and came across these which could replace the primer bulb AND provide a filter/ water seperator - has anyone used these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuel-Filter-as...QQcmdZViewItem ?

You should be OK. Actually, mine was OK, as well; just looked like crap: paint peeled, aluminum swollen with corrosion - still worked, though.

I got the SS version through Shipyard Island Marine. Holds up much better.

That looks cool. Anyone of experience of a combo primer and filter unit?

Apparantly Racor do one of these with built in primer but I cant find a dealer anywhere. Part number 490R-RAC-01

Does anyone know who I can try to get a pair of these?

The way I'm rigging my motors I've just found that my filters are a bit too close to the engine and theres no decent straight bit of fuel line to insert a primer bulb. One of these filters would be the perfect solution.

Very smart. And it overcomes that perpetual conundrum of whether the primer bulb should be before or after the filter
