Our cousins across the atlantic certainly like to run the older engines dont they.

I noticed that - hardly anything about newer 4 strokes. Actually it says a lot about the bullet proff nature of the old 2 strokes that they use such old engines - and with the fuel prices and weather I bet they get far more use than here!!!
