E-Tec 90hp 2006/7 v 2008

HI All,

I have decided to go for the Etec 90hp over the Yamy 90hp 2 stroke. I have a good deal on 2x Etec-90hp brand new but 2006 or 2007. The offer made is $1000 better , + a new Brass (good quality) hydraulic ROD (thrown in) which I need to replace anyway.

So a saving of about $1600 over buying a 2008 Model.

The 2008 model has a modification with the Injector head (I believe), however if I have full warranty is the extra saving worth grabbing?

I would only be paying equivalant of $2,400 more for the two E-Tec 90's as mentioned over 2 90hp 2stroke motors.

$2400 is worth it in fuel savings, starting first time, and probably in some innitial service costs.

I would appreciate peoples input. Especially those with how they have found their 2006/2007 E-tec to date.

not related but link to pictures of my bowsprit mount anchor in another thread. must have posted it after all moved on.

Regards.

hello,
you can ask your question also here - http://forums.etecownersgroup.com/mb/barnaclebill - there are some very good e-tec guys from Australia also (e.g. Huey).

Or you just read the threads, there are a lot of 75/90 HP e-tec ones .
