So they've put what sounds like a normal common rail diesel onto a Mercury leg - doesnt sound to out of box to me! would be interesting to see GPH comparisons.

New boat is here, very happy!

I did say in the original thread, there is no way Brunswick is going to let them cannibalise a Mercury leg and advertise it for sale, perhaps Mercury are just sitting back waiting to see how far they get with development IE... let them waste time and money on this project and then Merc can learn from it and close it down

yanmar used to make diesel outboards, they were very economical but heavy. Not many about, some fish farms used them but they never really took off.
