13 inc delivery for a hose with 2 die-cast Merc bayonet ends & primer bulb looked like very good value to me. I've seen some chandlers charging more just for the bayonet connectors.

They are the older Mercury bayonet type-should be loads on ebay.

The pipe in mine had already perished when i got it a couple of years back, from memory i unbolted/unscrewed the unit and used the only pipe that i'd got available which happened to be the old style clear re-inforced stuff i can measure this up when i get home as working away at the moment. It was a bit fiddly/tight from memory as already stated, I used a little ptfe tape on the thread (don't know if this the correct thing to use but a plumber friend said it would be fine) when i re-fitted it to the tank and i've never had a problem since? i've got another barrus tank which has got an end filter fitted to the pipe & i'd like to source another one of those for the first one, looking on ebay sthil strimmers etc seem to use something similar
