Initially I was going to have a bracket fitted to my rib, which Humber were going to do before I got it.
However, after looking at the width of the boat, and measuring a few things up, Humber cut a small section of the transom away, which made an ideal place to mount the aux engine.
It's a 4hp long shaft 4-stroke engine, and the plate above the prop is actually spot on at the bottom of the hull, so I couldn't have asked for anything better. It's held on by the usual 2 hand screw things, plus 2 bolts that go through the transom and keep it well and trully tight to the boat.
A bad picture of it can be seen here - http://www.ribseadrive.co.uk/gallery..._0322_154600AA
don't think I have any other pics of it on the website.

Hi Sorry about the small picture,Its a Honda 20 hp wing engine bolted to a special carrying bracket for a 3 ton boat on the transom. It is low enough to keep the engine out of the water at speed but can be put down, when required as its permanently attached by the two screw Thingis and bolted, and the base of the leg is cliped so it cant move, eg shake itself to death, when in the out of water position.
We have a Honda 30 hp long shaft elec start, Wing engine and you will not catch us dancing across the deck with that baby as it weight is 72kg.

Its permanantly fixed aft .

If your using a heavy outboard as a wing engine There is no way in a big swell it is easy to fix it on the transom then.

It will be good to whatch somebody trying to though from the safe distance of your own boat
