2 stroke oil

Having just had engine serviced the mechanic said I should be running my yamaha 90 autolube on yamahalube oil as other make are thicker and cause build up in injectors!
Is this true or can I use other makes?
What do you guys recommend?

That is BS especially the "injectors" bit as a Yamaha 90 Autolube has carbs not injectors.

True the Yam 90 has an oil injection system but you should have no issues as long as you use any Premium 2-stroke TC-W3 Outboard Oil

They don't spend any money on packaging, basically a plain plastic container with a cheapo printed label sort of attached to it, but that 's no problem, just seems to do the job

I use rock oil through a 140hp twatsoo all good. You can buy direct from rock oil in Warrington in 25 litre drums. Can't remember how much now but it's around £90 I think
