You say your guys have various qualifications. Make sure that includes Sea Survival, SRC, and First Aid. For their Advanced Powerboat training, bear in mind 3 things:

1) there is a course pre-requisite that candidates are competent in their navigation/chartwork to Day Skipper standard. There isn't time to teach that on an Advanced Powerboat course, they need to do that first

2) they need SRC and First Aid qualifications before they do the course

3) they will have to pass a fairly rigorous exam conducted by an Examiner appointed by the RYA

You may already have all this, but to get a commercial endorsement you need to send the following items to RYA Certification, RYA House, Ensign Way, Hamble, Hampshire SO31 4YA:

Your original certificate - that would be the Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence (a course completion certificate is not enough, Adv PB for a commercial endorsement is by examination)

A commercial endorsement application form

An ML5 or ENG1 medical fitness certificate

A copy of your RYA Basic Sea Survival certificate or Personal Survival Techniques STCW95

A passport sized photo with your name on the back

The fee
