There's an article on the Oxe and the Cox CXO Diesel outboards in this months Motorboat and Yachting. The verdict on the Oxe being that you need to be doing a lot of hours to make it viable or need the reliability and durability that it offers.

Just seen this is in Commercial,so all three reason probably apply.

Thanks.

I'm really after a verdict on reliability, attitude of the supply chain and other ownership issues.

An idea of service costs would be good too.

Tideman boats in The Netherlands uses them.

I will meet him again in a couple of weeks. We briefly discussed them yesterday, it 's the only brand on diesel outboard that he uses as Oxe is the only brand that actually delivers engines.

Tideman has a stand on Seaworx.

Thanks. I've actually just taken the plunge. Proteum couldn't be more helpful.

Well I have to say I'm impressed by the OXE judging by todays demos at SEAWORK. Nice quiet engine, not at all stinky idling on the pontoon, a reassuring rise in power as the throttle goes forwards and no slip in some pretty tight turns. Love that turbo sound!
