Hooray Diabetic Result.

A bit of self indulgent hand clapping here

Finally after 3 years I have in my mit an ML5 without geographic limit and
a coded boat cert 20 miles from safe haven.
I even have a note saying I can solo crew with passengers up to 1 and a half hours but found that 12 persons on off and jackets etc mean having a crew person aboard is no hassle. At 40 knots the 1 and a half hours meant that I can do most tours anyway!

3 years ago I was told NO NO to the request to ml5 and code useage so for 2 years I have been stuck to cat waters.

Chuffed to bits that the mca (who it has to be said have been stars actually listening to my points and allowing a gradual move toward today.)
It can be done!!!!!

(sorry to go on but I am so pleased with myself I may have to buy a new shirt to say normal person on it to wear on the boat!!!!!

Mike,

Very pleased for you.

I remember my early conversations with you and my prognosis that i did not think that you would get the chief medical officer to change his mind on policy. Delighted that you did achieve it and above all that it is a sensible decision for once.

However the biggest challenge remains in talking wiffie into a new boat !!!

Cheers

John

Mike

That is great news.
Great news for you.
Great news for us diabetics.
It gives us all hope that we can turn our hobby into work.

Best I pull my finger out and start work to get mine all sorted.

Am well chuffed for you.
See you down the harbour sometime soon.

Regards
