Now that I think about it, it seems a natural fit that Ford has been buying up all these British automakers. Now Ford can combine their legendary quality control and reliability with that of, say... Jaguar.
You can be sure that Toyota/Lexus are quaking in their boots as I type this.
(I'd best go into hiding now - maybe Mr. Rushdie knows of a good spot or 2)
How dare you!!! Just because Ford owns them doesn't make them Fords - Land Rover are still made on the same production line they have always been and fortunately not too many Ford parts are used either.
Astons are made in Gaydon near Stratford - good old Will Shakspeares area. The old factory was the best though - at Newport Pagnell - craftsmanship was out of this world - the factory was like a museum - loved it.
Ahh but I know where Mr Rushdie used to hide out - a place called Upper Chapel between Brecon and Builth in Wales. No wonder they couldn't find him - really is the back of beyond - awesome roads for an Aston though!!!
