Wicked! this one,,,another teaser

These three fellahs went to stay in a hotel room and were charged in total €30
so €10 each.
Soon after the Manager realised they were Irish and nice lads so gave them back a fiver but the assistant decided he would keep two Euro leaving them with €3 refund thus it only Cost them €27 as in €9 each.
However 3x9 = 27 plus the 2 yer man kept = €29, where did the last euro go????

Before Codprawn says anything I blame Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, it HAS to be a stealth tax!

Hang on if it cost

€10 each - €5 refund each, thieving assistant keeps €2 = Total cost of €8 each there for 3 x €8 = €24 euros

So if the Assistant keeps €2 euros each then that balances correctly. 3 x €2 = €6 - sorted

Initial payment for room €30 ....cost so far..... €30

ACTUAL refund rec'd
after 'tip' removed
by assistant € 3 .....cost so far.... 30 minus 3 = €27

Therefore each man
Will get €1 refund each (1/3 of the refund each) and will pay 1/3 of the cost of the room i.e 1/3 of 27 = 9 so

(3 x 1) + (3 x 9) = 30 there is no 'missing' euro as long as you don't deduct €3 and only add €2 back into the equation.

QED

I think

Easy.
3x9=27 euros which includes the 2 euros nicked by the assistant.

Add the 3 euro refund and you get 30.

Yep, hotel owner now has €25 (€30-€5) and the thieving toe rag has €2, total €27

Punters pay €9 each (€10 minus €1) total €27

Last Euro didn't go anywhere, you're just adding the wrong numbers.

Well I asked he question, didnt say I had the answer...

You all confused the crap out of me, I would have said nothing about it and just left it as a tip cos I couldnt figure it out, sides we Irish would have spent ten times that amountin the bar so we wouldnt miss it.

Somethings just are not worth the effort, dont you think
I hardly think the assistant went to town on the difference, wait until you lads get Euros, at least you can still go for a skinfull for a £20 note.
