But if you either use it in the Severn estuary or Kennett and Avon then wouldn't your washing come out dirtier

Bosch. Ours now about 6 years old, used daily at least once if not more, cannot fault it.

If your able, try to buy from Costco, very good prices and if anything goes wrong out of warrentee they usually sort or exchange! You need to be a member, but its worth the 25 to join.

Talking to a washer/dryer repair man a few years back he said that Bosch are or were made in 2 countries,Germany and spain the latter ones are budget made for certain suppliers / customers, and not quite as good quality ,he said how you can tell the difference is the back panal, that has a slightly different shape and pressing to the other ,front panal looks the same .

Was talking to a guy at work today, he's got a Washing machine sat in his garage doing nothing from a holiday home he sold in France. He said it had, had light use and all he wants for it is some drinky's, so will take this option once he's checked it's OK tonight.

Otherwise, I'm gonna back track to a Bosch with the LG a runner up.

Thanks for all your help, it's much appreciated.

The Sales woman in Currys was also very helpful at the weekend and also pointed this out. German ones have holes in the rear of the drum. There is also a different design to the front door too.
