Trench Periscope ID

I've unearthed a trench periscope I was given many years ago from clearing out the loft a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone ID this?

Markings stamped on it read:

8x24
DECIGRADES
M.G.
S.R.P.I
No. 13336

It appears they are of French make, who sold them to various different Armys.
