I always thought........

........it was Tiff Nidell. I liked him, he was great on TG and from what I read recently in Motorsport, he's admired by many a F1 driver apart from Nigel Boring Mansell who hates him.

Rumour is that JC and Tiff didn’t get on so when Top Gear was re-launched as the ‘JC look at me show’ Tiff had to go
Sad thing is that of all the presenters on TG over the years he was probably the only one capable of driving a car Des

................you are. JC himself wouldn'y know understeer if it bit him in the arse. Whenever the backend flips out on him he's all over the road - nothing controlled about it at all.

That said he is a good presenter at this particular moment in time however, the uniqueness of his one liners will not remain amusing forever - in fact they are becoming common place and if you ask me were first introduced by Roland Atkinson in Black Adder - a truey fantastic show.

AFAIK Perry was killed off when they launched a car off the Ark Royal a couple of series ago.

Does anyone remember the German lady who drives the Nurumburg Ring taxi? It was the episode when JC took a diesel Jag round the 'ring. Perhaps she is the new Stig?

Have a look at this video clip of a Porker GT3 trying to keep up with her in the taxi (BMW M5). Has anyone done the 'ring? It's certainly on my list of things to do

Cheers.

The film where she took the transit van round was a much better one

The stig has been a number of people - including Perry McCarthy, but others also. The difference in driving style between various stigs is obvious when you look at it.

What do you mean trying? I'm not disputing - the lady can drive, and even better, she can take the piss out of clarkson too - but keep it real - the porker was taking it pretty easy.
