Suicidal Squid

For all the Ocean lovers out there ,I thought you may find this interesting.
Had another occurance of squid suicide today and will try and get out and get some pictures.
It's a strange phenonemon over here when hundreds of squid wash ashore.
It happened a few years ago on a local beach and we took the kids to see.

Seems it happened again with larger squid ( up to 16lbs or so )today up at Newport beach .

Wow, that's amazing........

.........we suffered the same problem in North Wales a couple of years ago but with Jellyfish. Strangly they were all really large, nothing less than about 5 kilos - real whoppers. It was as if all the old gits decided to commit suicide, or perhaps they belonged to some strange David Coresh sect !

Just a tad!!!!!
Last time they had trash trucks hauling them off the beach as they were decomposing into a milky stench!!
Then every shark for miles was being attracted to the beach!
