In defence of Codprawn

LR buy roll cages directly from Safety Devices or at least hey did back in 2001. (They were bought by part of of the purchasing organisation I worked in.)

So perfectly possible for 'factory' range rover for SAS (or any other airline ) to have SD roll cage.

Codders, thanks for the pics, any of the external platform or would that lead to accusations of being a stalker?!

A little bit difficult - I literally yesterday found a new use for my external platform - it now has my Quicksilver sitting on top of it!!! Fits on there a treat - made for the job - was trying to post a piccie earlier but they in my phone and I can't find the cradle for it - SPV500 thing.

Unfortunately all the other SAS bits and bobs been removed - no siren or anything although the headlights can still be made to flash alternately!!!

Lets try keep it Hummer and their towing abilities

I didnt start another Landrover thread, this I hoped would be an alternative, with a view on US built jeeps ,rather than the apparant threat Jap vehicles pose to Uk built Landys

Nick I will try to answer your reply

QUOTE

Gavin you do seem to have a very large chip on you solder, but then you would not be the first Irish person to!
You praise every thing Jag, USA & Bling it would seam, even to the not so pleasant Gippos we have to put up with over hear!
But I do not suppose you will change!

I have been told that UK armed forces is changing to the Merc G wagon!
Any one else heard the same?

I dont think that starting a thread on Hummers means I have a chip on my (solder) or even on my (shoulder) for that matter,

I dont praise everything (Jag) or (Jap) either especially not (Jags), I hate them

as to (seams) I (seem) to think they are where the haylpon meets on ribs

as to (hearing) Gippos over (here) we have them too, thats (here) rather than (hear)

You are probably right about me not changing, for the prices listed on the link I provided, I would definately give Hummer a look as regards a gutsy tow vehicle

Fair play Gavin for once you didn't start on about Land rovers and neither did I.

The H2 is only a Hummer in name though - not the same vehicle the military use. If you are after a H2 it is more in the league of the other Yank SUVs.

Having now been in the new Cadillac THING my impression of Yank tanks has not been raised at all......

Talking of all this there is a much better vehicle than the Hummer - maybe not a a tow car though !!!

Anyone remember the Lamborghini LM series or the earlier cheetah??? First came out in 1977 apparently!!!
