This looks very like a case reported in our local paper where lots of cash was found in gift wrap (unless that's the way it's done). Around 300K in total.

They were going round pretending to be a well-known local tree surgeon and then charging the usual inflated rates.

You'll be delighted to know that they were convicted of various fraud and deception offences - sentences pending at the moment. It will be interesting to see if the cash is confiscated as well - can't believe it won't be.
