One of our site teams actually did that. They were working down a manhole in a shopping precinct, manhole lid up, barriers all set up, cables running from van down the manhole etc. Came out of the chamber at the end of the day to find that the van had been clamped on the blind side whilst they were working on the opposite side. They broke out the "master key" & unlocked the clamp. Never heard a word.

My mates son has just gone through a similar scenario. He got a "ticket" from some parking company, which, when you read the small print, was an invoice for Liquidated Damages. My mate wrote to them & asked for a breakdown of the Liquidated Damages & proof of the losses suffered by the parking enforcement company (the car park was mostly empty at the time of the "offence")That was a couple of months ago, no reply, job done.
