If you like the Vodafone coverage but want a phone thrown in for a similar price you could look at the Talkmobile offers - they run on the Vodaphone network so coverage will be the same.

However, If you want to use the phone abroad most of the alternative providers (Tesco Mobile, Talkmobile, etc) don't do the same offers on international roaming costs as the original providers (vodafone, O2 etc) do.

I'm currently O2 and generally pleased with coverage, but when I'm in Littlehampton and use Three Internet for extended periods of time, then comparing O2 data vs Three data, Three win hands down. I just can't send work emails via Three PAYG.

Threes cheapest 12month contract is
£6.90 500MB data, 200 mins, 5000 txts

and you may get additional benefits if you talk nice to the shop staff
